3 and 15 for the Author Ask. I absolutely adore your sweet Rickyl btw!

Hello, thank you for your ask! ;///v///;

For #3, I usually make a big outline with bullet
points/notes and try to write from start of the story to end. But sometimes
I cheat and write scenes I really
want to write first. (For me, this is usually the ‘first realization of
feelings’ or some ultra fluffy bit. :3 ) And I usually skip over the pr0n
scenes to come back to them later, lol.

For #15, the funny thing is I started out drawing instead of
writing! But I always felt like my pictures only told part of a story? And then
I got into fandoms where my fav characters were dying left and right, or being
maimed, or put through the wringer (often for no good reason other than D~r~a~m~a)
and no amount of pictures could heal that hurt anymore; I needed stories to
fill that void, needed the fix-its and comfort and fluff, entire narratives
that gave these characters the happy endings they deserved. Wanting stories
with particular elements/events/kinks (some as tame as
“omg, I want to see X kiss Y’s palm, ahhhh~~♥” ) drove me into giving writing a
try, because I felt like I had so many stories
to tell, fluffs to share, none of which could be captured in a single image.

And I’m so happy to hear you enjoy my Rickyl fics! I hope to
be able to get back into writing it once things slow down in real life!
^^

Is there a word for the feeling you get when you want to return to a place you can no longer return to, like missing an old house that’s been sold or a time when you were young?

word-stuck:

Hiraeth is a deep, wistful, nostalgic sense of longing for home — a home that is no longer or perhaps never was.

Pronounced [hɨraɪ̯θ], this Welsh word is defined as a yearning and wistful grief for people and things long gone, a homesickness tinged with grief or sadness over the lost or departed.

It is a mix of longing, yearning, nostalgia, wistfulness, or an earnest desire.

Hiraeth bears considerable similarities with the Portuguese concept of saudade, Brazilian Portuguese banzo, Galician morriña, Romanian dor, and Ethiopian tizita.
